The Friends of the Lemont Public Library are a group dedicated to assisting the library with programs, activities, and time through fundraising and volunteerism.

The Friends have provided the library with funding for the summer programs, prizes for the reading challenges, picture book shelving, the defibrillator, guest authors, computer desks, a scanner, children's computer furniture to name some of the purchases made with the Friends money.

​

The Friends have sponsored the book sale, raffle basket sales and the ongoing book sale that contributes to their funds.

​

The Friends provide volunteer manpower to the library staff when needed.

​

The Friends believe that although the library receives tax dollars, there are programs and projects that could be added and supplemented with financial help from the Friends.

​

Our Mission is to Further an enthusiastic partnership between the Lemont Library and the Lemont Community.

​

Our Purpose is to focus public attention in a positive manner on library services, facilities and needs, to help promote the use and enjoyment of the library, to develop supplemental funding for the library and to actively support the library.

​
